What's a Cowkid?

I admit I am a sucker for our adorable cowkids designs. My side kick, Heather rolls her eyes at me. I am probably regressing to my childhood that was full of farm animals, especially ponies. My grandmother raised registered Welsh ponies. They were showed in halter, fine harness and under saddle. Those early years with horses was full of other children, ponies and horses we would meet at fairs, and local horse shows.  So when I spotted old retro  postcards and photos of children in cowboy and cowgirl garb I was smitten. I think about getting each of them a horse that is just theirs. You would think that would be a simple task but alas it is not. Finding a design that fits each figure has been time consuming. You have to match the style and personality to the horse. Our first match was Sassy and her horse we call Fancy or Blue or Fancy Blue, you can see them in our featured image. Sassy appears on many of our pieces. Between you and me she was reported to be seen atop a Pegasus or two with but her latest debut with Blue is on a pair of kids high top sneakers! Joining her on our kids slippers is our newest pair Seth and his pal Chess. Perhaps you have a child in your life that would enjoy one of our cowkids!
